Hi there. I'm Katelin, and I help business owners tackle legal challenges and better protect their business and brand.
A client once described me as “the first lawyer we actually like working with.” Their endorsement has become one of my measures of success. I’m on a mission to make legal less intimidating, and less painful.
In 2016, I left the typical law firm world and started a boutique law firm with one partner. After working with over 100 business owners and startup founders, I started to recognize that people often put legal on the back-burner because it isn't intuitive and leaves them with more questions than answers—not to mention, lawyers aren't known for being the most relatable or efficient bunch.
I started brevity to elevate the client experience and fill in the gaps. I want to get to know your team and what your business is all about. I want to make sure you understand how and why the "legal stuff" we work through together actually impacts your business. Most importantly, I want to be one of your biggest supporters and be able to celebrate your success.
Outside of contracts, I currently enjoy being sanctified through motherhood and raising chickens. I went to Wake Forest University for undergrad and law school. I lived in Okinawa, Japan for 6 years and loved it. I married a Buckmaster, and yes, he loves to hunt. Last but not least, my dad is an actual legend.
